Here you will find all the BLOG POSTS, TIPS, THOUGHTS and INSPIRATION about TRAVELLING AS SINGLE PARENTS. I have travelled with Lu as a single mom when he was 5, 6 and 7 years old. Besides exploring the country we currently live in, Germany (usually we do lots of weekend city trips and camping in the summer), we often visited Slovenia, my home country and spent summer holidays on various Croatian islands. We also travelled quite a lot in those years, the longest trip was 2 months of backpacking around South Pacific islands including a stop in Singapore, New Zealand and later on Cook islands, Fiji and Vanuatu. A year before we visited Hong Kong & Macau and the Philippines.

Travelling as single parents can be challenging at times but it truly a very special time for you and your children. We always had a great time and we learned a lot about each other as well. I can only hope that I can inspire others through my posts – there is really no need to sit back at home just because you are a single parent, go out there and have fun, you won´t regret it.

You can find some posts about general travelling tips and advice in the main menu under the “TIPS” category, but for those looking for more tips related to TRAVELLING WITH KIDS this is where to look. Tips, advice, equipment, inspiration and personal thoughts.
